Our time at the Cancer Council Tasmania's Relay for Life

On March 30th and 31st, our clinic participated in a fundraising event for the Cancer Council Tasmania called Relay for Life. Relay for Life is an incredible overnight event that is an opportunity for family, friends and colleagues to get together with the community and celebrate cancer survivors, remember loved ones lost to cancer and fight back against a disease that takes too much. It is a unique event where teams of 10 to 15 challenge themselves to take turns to keep a baton moving in a relay style walk or run overnight (total of 20 hours). As a clinic, we managed to raise $1,616 and The Cancer Council Tasmania raised over $210,000 to go towards support services, prevention programs and cancer research funding. We are incredibly grateful to those who donated to help us support this great cause. We're looking forward to participating next year and raising even more money to support those with cancer and cancer research.
